7-ELEVEN "Zaru Kishimen" Made with Aichi Wheat Flour

Zaru Kishimen", not "Zaru Soba", is now available at 7-ELEVEN stores in Aichi, Mie, and Gifu prefectures. Note, however, that some stores in these areas do not carry this product.

The official name of the product is "Zaru Kishimen" (cold soba noodles made with wheat flour produced in Aichi Prefecture). As the name suggests, this is the first product to use "Kinuakari," a variety of wheat produced in Aichi Prefecture that has attracted attention for its high production volume and is suitable for making noodles.

The noodles are made at a dedicated 7-ELEVEN factory, and the company claims to have focused on the blade used to make the noodles so that they have a firm, square texture. The tsuyu is a soup stock made from bonito and muro-aji jack, to which tamari soy sauce and mirin (Japanese sweet cooking rice wine) are added.

The condiments included green onion, grated ginger, and chopped nori seaweed. The package is marked by a one-point sticker of Kinuakari. The price is 350 yen (tax included).
