Tochigi, Gifu, Nara, Nagasaki, and Oita join the Starbucks coffee goods "Japan Geography Series". New tumblers and mugs are on sale at stores in each prefecture from April 27 (also available at some stores outside the sales area).
The design concept of the Japan Geography series is "the daily life of the locals." Stainless steel bottles, tumblers, and mugs that depict "things and dialects familiar to people living in each region" are being developed.
Tochigi is designed with the image of "gentleness". It depicts the three wise monkeys, strawberry picking scenes, and people eating dumplings.
Gifu is designed with the image of "heartwarming and peaceful". Mainly on the magnificent nature, the statue of Nobunaga Oda, the people who keep the cormorant, and Shirakawa-go are drawn.
Nara is designed with the image of "gentle Japanese". Deer and temples are drawn mainly on "Daibutsu-san".
Nagasaki is designed with the image of "a fluffy feeling". The scenery of "Ja-dance", trams, and glasses bridge are drawn.
Oita is a design with the image of "loose, swaying". People passing through the hot spring town, Saruyama, Bamboo, and Bonnet Bus are depicted.
On May 14th, stainless steel bottles designed by each prefecture will appear. Only "Stainless Steel Bottle Nagasaki 355ml (12us fl oz)" will be on sale in late July.
The price is 2,000 yen for each tumbler, 1,800 yen for each mug, and 4,200 yen for each stainless steel bottle (all tax excluded).
