Tadao Nemoto, the founder of Funachu, is also known as the "father of yakitori," who launched yakitori immediately after the end of the war and spread yakitori to the general public. In order to return to the thoughts of the company's founding, August 10, 2005 was established as Yakitori Day. Along with this, the store's "large-grain domestic yakitori" will be sold for 10 yen.

Target stores are Asakusa Main Store (Taito-ku, Tokyo), Kagurazaka Store (Shinjuku-ku), Kameari Store (Katsushika-ku). The sales start time is 15:00, but it will start lining up around 12:00 and there will be a line of about 100 to 150 people. The proceeds will be used to support reconstruction after the Great East Japan Earthquake.
