The long-established pastry shop "Matterhorn" near Gakugei University Station in Tokyo. Even though it is a weekday morning, it is a popular shop where you can have a long line in search of exquisite Western confectionery.
There is a coffee shop in the large store. The seasonal "Mochasoft" offered there is very delicious!
A dish of coffee-flavored soft serve ice cream on top of coffee jelly. When I visited, everyone around me was ordering Mochasoft. The price is 650 yen (tax included).
A high-impact visual that you will stare at when it is carried. The cone is boldly stuck from the side. Maybe contemporary art?
Soft serve ice cream has a blissful taste of rich milk and coffee. With its refreshing sweetness, each bite cools down the body that has been lit by the heat. I'm happy with the smooth mouthfeel.
Self-topping soft serve ice cream on the cone on the way. You can't reach the corn unless you eat the normal soft serve ice cream to the bottom, but it's good to be able to combine the soft serve and corn at your own timing! The crunchy savory corn makes an outstanding performance as an accent.
If you continue to eat, coffee jelly will join the ranks. It is elastic and dances in your mouth. It is also delicious to eat with soft serve ice cream that melts and becomes like a sauce. The bittersweetness of coffee is wrapped in mellow milk, which makes it delicious.
I was worried if I could eat it because of the volume, but I was able to finish it. From now on, I would like to recommend "after-meal mocha soft" instead of after-meal coffee. By the way, it is scheduled to be offered until September 30th this season.
Since the desire for sweets has ignited, I ordered an additional order for the signboard product "Damie", which has been loved since its establishment. A sweet made by combining two types of sponge and butter cream and coating the surroundings with chocolate. The price is 300 yen (tax included).
The first thing you feel when you eat it is the rich sweetness of chocolate. Next, the butter cream melts smoothly with the heat of the tongue, and spreads the rich flavor while being entwined with the moist sponge. Impressed by the refreshing aftertaste, which is rich but has no weight. It is understandable that it has been loved for many years.
Damier is sold in showcases and can be taken out. Not only one cut but also one whole is available, so it may be a good souvenir.
