Shinshodo's "Seppuku Monaka

This is the signature product of Shinshodo, a long-established confectionery shop in Shimbashi, Tokyo. It is a unique confectionery that was born because the store is located at the site of the Tamura residence where the Chushingura (the Chushingura) story began and where Asano Uchishoukura committed seppuku.

The bean jam sticks out from the skin!

The monaka (bean-jam dumpling) skin is filled with red bean paste, giving it a bold visual appearance as if he had committed "seppuku". Inside the bean jam is a large piece of gyuhi.

When you tuck into it, the aroma of the monaka skin that melts into a crispy crust, the smooth, rich yet elegant sweetness of the bean paste, and the texture of the sticky gyuhi will spread in your mouth as a trinity. It's hearty and delicious~!

In the unlikely event that you have to go apologize with an apology in your life, please remember this seppuku maka. I'm sure you'll be able to convey your sincerity with its excellent taste and name. Of course, even if you don't, please buy one for yourself and try it!

In the midst of an economic upswing

Not only do we have apologies, but we also have these lucky sweets that make great hand-me-downs!

The koban (small oval) shaped " Keizai Kaizoku Jaka " (165 yen per piece) is made with a soft and fluffy monaka skin filled with chewy koshian (sweet bean paste). Brown sugar is added to the bean jam to make it rich and sticky. It has a deep and rich flavor.

Incidentally, this confection is said to be named after Mt. Atago, where Heikuro Magaki, one of the characters in the story "The Three Horsemanship of Kan'ei," made his name. I want to make a name for myself here! This would make a great gift for someone who is determined to make a name for themselves!
