In 2018, Starbucks Coffee will open Japan's first "Starbucks Reserve Roastery" (hereinafter referred to as "Roastery") in Nakameguro, Tokyo. The fourth store in the world after Seattle, Shanghai and New York.
Here, unique coffees collected from all over the world are roasted and extracted. Not only can you see the raw beans being brought in, but you can also enjoy conversations with Starbucks "coffee specialists" and "master roasters" and taste the carefully selected handmade beverages. In addition, a food menu such as freshly baked bread will be developed.
Kengo Kuma, a world-renowned architect, is in charge of designing the roastery. It is said that the space is a fusion of "Japanese design" and "fresh and contemporary art expression" unique to Starbucks.
