Starbucks will release a new Frappuccino "Marrone Cassis Frappuccino". The En-Eat editors are curious about this new item, so we tried it first!

Starbucks will launch "Artful Autumn @ Starbucks" for the fifth year on September 1, 2012. A new Frappuccino, "Marrone Cassis Frappuccino," will be available. Only available in Tall size until September 20. 648 yen to-go, 660 yen in-store (tax included, same below). The sale will end as soon as it is gone.

Starbucks Coffee Japan's internal competition "Coffee Ambassador Cup 2021", where people compete for their knowledge and passion for coffee, brought together the 17th Coffee Ambassador for Eastern Japan, Yoshimi Mochizuki, and Area Representatives, Central Japan Coffee Ambassador Yuka Saito and Western Japan Coffee Ambassador Takuro Ogata, along with Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo's Coffee Ambassador Kieiko Kawachi. Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo Coffee Ambassador, Kieko Kawachi, and four others joined together! The Frappuccino was created with the concept of "Our Harvest Table" in mind, and is called the "Marrone Cassis Frappuccino".


This Frappuccino uses marron, which is a typical autumn ingredient, and the exquisite combination of mildly sweet and fruity blackcurrant. A small amount of coffee is added as a secret ingredient. The blackcurrant pulp and juice is less than 5%.

The mildly sweet marron sauce goes well with the sweet and sour blackcurrant sauce! If anything, the blackcurrant flavor is stronger and juicy. And the coffee flavor lingers slightly in the aftertaste. The sweetness is strong, but the aftertaste is refreshing! It is an easy drink for those who are thirsty.


The generous amount of whipped cream is topped with large marrons. You can enjoy the sweetness of the chestnuts and their flaky texture. It has a sweet taste and is recommended as a snack when you want to take a break. The red color of the blackcurrant is gorgeous and a delight to the eyes as well.
