Dominique Ansel Bakery Tokyo corn soft serve ice cream and rice ball soft serve ice cream

DOMINIQUE ANSEL BAKERY TOKYO sells unique summer-only soft serve ice cream. Two types of "corn: Creme de la Corn" and "rice ball: Onigiri soft serve". Scheduled to be sold until September 30th.

"Corn" (1,000 yen) was born when Dominique chef who came to Japan was fascinated by fresh sweet corn. Not only the corn grains but also the core is simmered and you can enjoy the "original taste". In addition, caramel is added to enhance the aroma.

Real corn is used for the "handle". It is boiled, seasoned with butter and soy sauce, and baked. The topping like corn grains is corn jam.

On the other hand, "Onigiri" (750 yen) is a rice-flavored ice cream sandwiched between black shells (corns) that look like seaweed. Rice puffs around the ice cream. Plum jam is placed on the top in the image of dried plums, giving it a “rice ball” look.

Dominique Ansel Bakery is a bakery headquartered in New York, USA, which produced the hybrid sweets "cronuts" of croissants and donuts. In 2015, the first store in Japanopened in Omotesando, Tokyo.
