"THE BANFF", a restaurant of "firewood dishes" that serves dishes baked with firewood, will open in Jiyugaoka, Tokyo on July 30th. It is positioned as the first "campfire dining".
The main dish is "Rib roast grilled with firewood" (2,980 yen / 200g (7.05oz)). High-quality meat that has been "salt-aged" and aged by sprinkling salt is heated at once over a wood-fired fire and baked. A dish with a fresh scent unique to firewood. Apply 3 kinds of sauces to choose from and eat.
In addition to beef, pork, chicken and fish are also available. There is also a menu of grilled vegetables over a wood fire, such as "Smoky Cheese Fondue" (1,680 yen). Combined with "natural wine" carefully selected by senior sommeliers.
For dessert, "Camping S'more" (780 yen), which contains smoke, is the best choice. The popular campfire dessert "S'more" (baked marshmallow sandwiched between chocolates and crackers) is arranged, and the chocolate cream inside is mixed with the baked marshmallows and crunch cookies.
At lunchtime, a hearty "firewood roast beef BBQ sandwich" (1,580 yen) will be prepared. Comes with free refills of herbal tea.
The store name, BANFF, is derived from Banff, Canada, the birthplace of the world's premier outdoor film festival, which embraces abundant nature. The concept is "a calm place where you can eat, talk and relax with your friends and family, like when you surround the fire and campfire."
