The other day, I told you about a ton demo project where you can drink "premium local sake" such as "Dasai" for 2,800 yen per person with no time limit. It is held at the Tokyo Sake BAL Anbai Kagurazaka store.

It seems that this was very popular, and it was filled with reservations early this year. I'm sorry for the customers who refused to visit the store, so it seems that the new year will be extended from January 1st to February 29th, 2016! Yay!

I've been waiting!
I've been waiting!

The all-you-can-drink menu continues to have a lineup of rare brands that are said to be "difficult to obtain." … But I thought, could this be enjoyed by people who are not so strong in alcohol? And what and how much should such a person drink to get the money? You're curious, right?

That's why the editorial staff, who are not so strong in alcohol, went to check it out!

● Which brand should I drink to get the money?

I came to Shioume in Kagurazaka. It is about a 5-minute walk from Iidabashi Station on each line.

As soon as I got to my seat, I ordered all-you-can-drink Japanese sake. I asked the store manager immediately. "Which is the " most expensive "liquor or the" rarest "liquor? "

I'm a little hesitant, but he told me! The most expensive liquor is (after all) Yamaguchi-Daisai Junmai Daiginjo Shine 20% and 3 minutes. If you drink it at the store, even if the unit price is cheap, it costs 2,000 yen for 180 ml (1 go).

In addition, the number one rarity is unfiltered Daiginjo in Toyama and Tateyama. It's hard to see a store that offers this, says the store manager. If you drink this at the shop, it costs about 2,000 yen for 180 ml. Hmm ...

So, in other words , if you drink one and a half of these, you will already get paid!

● Challenge all-you-can-drink Japanese sake

Now, from here, the real challenge starts to see how many brands can be conquered. Confronting the menu table with about 50 kinds of local sake lined up, I ordered the "Dassai" polishing 20% and 3 minutes of "Dassai" and the unfiltered Daiginjo of "Tateyama" in quick succession.

Asahi Shuzo has a mellow, full-bodied scent and sweetness as soon as you put it in your mouth. Tateyama, on the other hand, has a crisp and firm taste, and has a crisp aftertaste. It goes well with the meal.

Next, I ordered one sparkling bottle of "Daisai". It has a faint sweetness and no habit. Thanks to the carbonated swashwa, the scent that goes through the nose is felt more strongly, and you can drink it refreshingly. When combined with a thick dish, it will shed a refreshing greasiness.

I didn't know there was sparkling at the festival!

The next thing I was interested in was "Lapis Junmai" by Akita and Aramasa in a fashionable bottle that looked like wine. It has the sweetness of biting fruit, like dessert wine. It doesn't have a unique fermented feeling and is very easy to drink, so even beginners of sake will be able to enjoy it.

By the way, from here, I will introduce you at once with a digest (photo)!

● This record → 9 glasses were emptied in 3 hours and 20 minutes

I started drinking at 19:30 and left the shop at 22:50. During these 3 hours and 20 minutes, 9 glasses of sake (= 9 brands) and 1 sparkling bottle were vacant (however, the bottle was not counted because it was drunk by 2 people). In other words, I was drinking one cup every 22 minutes . Isn't it a pretty record? Even though I was interviewing, I was a little nervous that I enjoyed the store's deficit to a level where I was worried about it.

I was surprised to drink more than I expected

As I found out by actually trying, if you want to conquer as many brands as possible, it is a good idea to order one cup at a time with a 90 ml glass or a little bit. Of course, you can also order sake bottles (1 go), but for those who want to drink various types, we definitely recommend glasses or choco. If you use this technique, for example, you can compare drinking "Daisai" with different proportions of "polishing".

It is also true that the deliciousness of the food made it unstoppable to drink alcohol. The gentle Japanese taste that Japanese people feel relieved, such as daikon radish soaked in soup stock, fluffy chicken, and plenty of sashimi, shouldn't go well with sake. It's also a fun time to find a dish that matches the brand of sake you choose.

● Replace sold-out brands with different ones

If the liquor is sold out, it will be replaced with another brand. However, he said, "The rank of sake will not go down." It could be just as rare, popular, or even more valuable than before. Well, if the store is like that, believe it!

Reservations after January are still being accepted at any time. It might be a good idea to consider it as a candidate store for the New Year's party. The store is located at 2-10 Kagurazaka, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. Business hours are lunch time from 11:30 to 14:00 and dinner time from 17:00 to 23:30. The price of all-you-can-drink Japanese sake is 2,800 yen per person (excluding tax and fare of 400 yen).
