Nishiogikubo "Echigo Tsuruya" Ichigo Daifuku and Kaiun Daifuku (Mame Daifuku) You should eat side by side! The feeling of chewyness is amazing!

I finally met you

Nishiogikubo "Echigo Tsuruya"

"Echigo Tsuruya" sells handmade Japanese sweets in Nishi-Ogikubo, Tokyo. Many of you may know it because it has been introduced on many TV programs such as Nippon TV "Monday Late Show" and TV Tokyo "Complicated SUMMERS 2".

I've always wanted to come, but I wasn't blessed with the opportunity and I was finally able to visit!

I finally came ...!

Echigo Tsuruya is "Omochiya-san"

Echigo Tsuruya is "a small rice cake in Nishi-Ogikubo". Daifuku, buns, and steamed buns made by craftsmen in the open kitchen of the store are on sale, focusing on ingredients such as Kogane mochi rice from Niigata and Dainagon azuki beans from Hokkaido.

No additives or preservatives are used, so all Japanese sweets are "raw". It is recommended to eat all day.

Big favorite "Ichigo Daifuku"

After all, the big favorite is "Ichigo Daifuku" (180 yen)! Daifuku, which is big and heavy, is packed with bean paste and fresh strawberries without any gaps.

Big strawberry daifuku

Mochi with a thickness of about 5 mm is moderately chewy and chewy! The red bean paste inside is sweet and has a simple taste. When you bite into a delicious strawberry, the juicy sweetness and refreshing acidity will fill your mouth.

The love of ingredients and craftsmen is tightly packed

"Kaiun Daifuku" is also popular

When I asked the clerk which one was the most popular next to Ichigo Daifuku, it was "Kaiun Daifuku (Mame Daifuku)" (160 yen), so I bought one. There are grain and koshian, but this time I chose koshian.

I like the handmade shape (it was a little crushed while I brought it home)

When you stick to the elastic mochi, the bean paste overflows from the inside. An is a moist and smooth texture with a clean and elegant sweetness. The beans mixed in the mochi give off a slight saltiness and further enhance the sweetness of the bean paste.

This kind of color is delicious, isn't it?

One ichigo daifuku and one good luck daifuku are quite satisfying to eat, but you can go with perot, and if anything, you can go with two at once . I regret that I didn't come to eat even though it was a popular restaurant.

Some popular items are sold out around 4 pm, so if you have the sweets you are looking for, we recommend that you visit the store early! (The shop is open at 9am)
