A new type of sweet using beef, "Meat Parfait: A Marriage of Black Beef and Dessert Seriously Conceived by an Italian Chef," will be served at the Italian restaurant "Del Sole Dotonbori" in Osaka City from February 9, 2012. Priced at 950 yen including tax, it will be available until February 14.
This menu is offered in conjunction with the Valentine's Day period. The menu was developed with the hope that customers will "enjoy the meat even as a sweet treat.
The menu features a combination of "chocolate and meat," including chocolate-braised meat and chocolate-coated minced meat toppings. The parfait is also served with salty popcorn, powdered green peas, granola, mascarpone cheese cream, raspberry jam, strawberries, and other ingredients to create a "lovely parfait.
Del Sole Dotonbori is an "Italian meat bar" that opened in April 2014 with the concept of "Italian food specializing in meat. The centerpiece of the menu is a steak of rare Japanese black beef cooked on a custom-made grill. It is said to be popular among women.
