Hokkaido is one of the most famous melon-growing regions in Japan. It is said that the magnificent land and the large temperature difference between day and night nurture delicious melons. Red flesh melons are characterized by their rich, strong sweetness. The high water content also makes them ideal for cooling down after a mid-summer heat wave. The melon's lush flesh blends perfectly with the milky taste of vanilla ice cream or cream. This parfait is only available during this season, and is made with red meat melons from Hokkaido.
