"7-ELEVEN CAFE Donut" has been completely renewed and will be on sale in a new version from January 19th. "We are more particular about texture and deliciousness," and we have reviewed all the ingredients and manufacturing methods according to the characteristics of each donut.

[Chocolate old fashion]
A classic among the classics in convenience store donuts. When I compared the old and new, it looked and tasted "different".

The shape is the same like a UFO, but the newer one can see larger bubbles. When I try to eat it, the texture and mouthfeel are "different"! Especially chewy. In the past, it was solid and crisp, but this time it is crisp and mellow. Also, the inside is moist and smooth. It's an old fashion that tends to be dry, but it doesn't make you feel the difficulty.
The right is the renewal version. It looks rugged, but it has a nice mouthfeel.
When
I compared eating convenience store donuts before, 7-ELEVEN's old fashion was the most crunchy and had "weight". There was a part that was hard and looked like a cookie (I liked it), but I think the renewal made it easier to eat.
[Custard cream donut]
It seems that it contains "special custard cream", which is a mixture of whipped cream made at the factory and custard with rich egg flavor. Compared with the current "whipped donut".
The right is the renewal version. It may be individual difference, but the newer one is more beautiful "dora-yaki" type
When you try to break it, you will feel a "fluffy" feeling. And a soft golden cream popped out from inside!
When I tried it, the dough had an image that I could feel "fluffy" with my teeth. On the other hand, it melts comfortably without being deprived of water in the mouth. And, after all, if the sweetness of the cream and the dough go well together! It is an exquisite balance that brings out the richness of the cream well.

I couldn't get the current product, but it seems that it changed from "with soy milk" to "with tofu, soy milk, and okara".
It has a moist finish and is crisp, and the aftertaste is refreshing thanks to tofu. Although it has a Japanese flavor, it has a strong richness, so it tasted good with coffee.

My personal favorite flavor. Caramel chocolate is coated on the cake donut.
The topping nuts are big!
The dough is moist but light, and it melts away. The image of cake donuts is that they are heavy and satisfying to eat, but this one is "lighter" than I imagined. Comfortable to be able to repeat endlessly! It is also round that the persistent sweetness does not remain.
Also, the dough is mixed with caramel, so you can feel the caramel from the beginning to the end. If you like the scent of caramel, you will love it.
[Chocolate & nut donuts]
Hazelnut chocolate cream and milk chocolate are coated and topped with nuts. A delicious combination of chocolate, nuts and teppan.
Why do chocolate and nuts fit so well?
Is the base an East Donut? It seems that it contains hot water (flour kneaded with hot water), which gives it a strong feeling. If you dare to compare it, it has a very soft bagel-like texture and taste.

Personally, I'm glad that not only almonds but also walnuts are topped! Contrary to its gutsy sweets-like appearance, I think it tastes good for meals.

Twisted donuts that are hand-twisted one by one. The sweet scent of maple is appetizing.
Because it's simple, I want to eat it again
It has a so-called "fried bread" taste, but it's chewy anyway. However, the feeling after eating and the melting in the mouth are not heavy. How about when you want to eat crispy?
