Haagen-Dazs Minicup SP

OON CRUSH Haagen-Dazs has launched a new series, SPOON CRUSH, with two flavors, Overflowing Berry Vanilla & Macadamia and Overflowing Chocolat Green Tea & Cookie, available from April 11 (Tuesday) for a limited time only. The "Spoon Crush" is available for a limited time only.

Spoon Crush

is a new series based on the concept of "an ice cream experience that stimulates the five senses while offering a complex and luxurious taste experience. The new structure allows the user to enjoy the feel, sound, and appearance of the ice cream by cracking the thinly spread chocolate with a spoon and allowing the sauce to drip out from the spoon.


Development began in 2017 with the goal of creating a dessert with the excitement of tasting it in a restaurant, but it was a trial-and-error process due to the high degree of technical difficulty. It took about five years to commercialize the ice cream, but now it is finally on sale.


Each product has a content of 82 ml and an estimated price of 351 yen (including tax). Available at supermarkets, convenience stores, and department stores nationwide.

Overflowing Berry Vanilla & Macadamia

Vanilla ice cream mixed with macadamia nuts is the base. Chocolate and berry sauce are combined.


The best time to eat it is when you press the side of the cup and it becomes soft. The recommended "crispy time" is around 13 minutes after taking it out of the freezer (depending on the cold storage conditions and outside temperature).


When you put a spoon in the chocolate, it crackles and breaks in a light rhythm. It is just like eating a caramelized crème brûlée. The berry sauce that overflows from between the chocolates makes your heart pound even faster.


The vanilla ice cream has a deep, rich flavor that is typical of Haagen-Dazs. The macadamia nuts scattered throughout add a savory flavor. The crispy texture is also a nice accent.


The combination of chocolate and refreshing sauce adds a luxurious touch! The berry sauce has a sour taste, so it is rich but not too rich. You can enjoy it until the last bite without getting bored.

Green Tea

& Cookies

Green tea ice cream with cocoa cookies. Chocolate and chocolate sauce are combined.


The chocolate cracks open and the chocolate sauce melts from the cookie. The rich taste of the double chocolate will delight your taste buds. It is not too sweet and has a mature taste.


Next is the bright green matcha ice cream. The refreshing aroma and flavor of matcha tea is followed by a subtle astringent taste. The cocoa cookie adds an accent to the ice cream. The sweetness and slightly bitter aftertaste of the cocoa cookies add to the refined taste.


Spoon Crush delights one after another with the feel and sound of the crispy crackling, the gorgeous appearance of the ice cream and sauce intertwined with each other, and the deep flavor and aroma. It is an ice cream to be savored carefully using all five senses.
