I actually bought and tried the "Tokushima Sangyo Mochi Cafe Strawberry", a sweet sold by Lawson. The price is 228 yen (tax included). Calories are 182 kcal.

"Mochi Cafe Strawberry" is a sweet and sour strawberry sauce poured over a sticky dumpling and layered with milk pudding. It comes in a cup and is sold at the chilled sweets corner.


The milk pudding is packed right up to the edge of the cup! You can scoop it up with a spoon and eat it as is, but I decided to try it out on a plate.



The strawberry sauce is more like a soft jelly than a sauce, and the texture is very smooth. It is sweet and juicy like strawberry juice. And inside are plump dumplings! The dumplings are soft and smooth like warabimochi (rice cakes).


The milk pudding is also soft and juicy, and has a different texture from the jelly-like strawberry sauce. You can enjoy the different flavors by eating each one separately, or you can enjoy the pudding and sauce together. It is the perfect little reward for a day of hard work.
