Yanagizuki "Summer Knot" "Otarte" "Otaru Glass Jelly" "Anbata-san

A new assortment of sweets for summer gift-giving, "Summer Knots," will be available from Yanagizuki. The two-tiered box of 10 varieties is priced at 3,700 yen per box (tax included).

Yanagizuki Summer Knot


A furoshiki (wrapping cloth) design commemorating the opening of Yanagizuki's first store in Otaru, a well-known tourist destination in Hokkaido, this April is available. The sweets inside include two Otarte and one Otaru Glass Jule, both exclusive to the Otaru store, one set of the standard Sanporoku no Kowari Hokkaido Melon (5-pack), one each of Tsuki Fuwari Summer Cafe, Tsuki Fuwari Summer Lemon, Kita no Fureai (red bean paste), Kita no Fureai (pumpkin paste), Sora Jule 2 each of "Tokachi Konomikomi" and 3 each of "Anbatasan".

Special Furoshiki (wrapping cloth) for Otaru, City of Glass


The "Glass Town Otaru Special Furoshiki" is designed with a glass pattern that includes Hokkaido's famous landmarks and the scenery of Tokachi, where Ryugetsu is located. It is also suitable for after-work use, as you can enjoy the feeling of traveling in Hokkaido while eating sweets.

Otarte


Otarte" is a Hokkaido-style tart named after Otaru. The almond dough kneaded with fermented butter from Hokkaido is poured into the tart and baked to perfection. Inside the tart, large red beans are pickled in honey, giving the tart a dainty texture.

Otaru Glass Jule


Otaru Glass Jelly is a sparkling Niagara jelly inspired by Otaru, the city of glass, and the Otaru Canal. It is made from 100% juice of "Niagara" grapes from Yoichi, a town next to Otaru where the fruit is grown, and is said to have a rich and fruity flavor. The secret ingredient is Otaru's white wine. Inside the jelly is a chewy cube of agar with a glass-like texture, which contrasts with the jelly's firm and crispy texture.

Sanporoku no Kowari - Hokkaido melon


Sanbouroku no Kowari: Hokkaido Melon is a summer-only version of the long-selling moist wood-shaped baumkuchen "Sanbouroku". As the name suggests, Hokkaido melon is used.

Anbatasan


An Batasan" is one of the representative sweets of Ryugetsu. You can enjoy the combination of red bean paste and butter.
