[Tasting] 7-ELEVEN "Dorayaki Maritozzo" Is this Maritozzo? But the bean paste and whipped cream go perfectly together!

I tried 7-ELEVEN's "Dorayaki Maritozzo". The name says Maritozzo, but the taste is a little different. It is a dish that goes well with bean paste, whipped cream, and dorayaki dough. The selling price is 224.64 yen (tax included).

Dorayaki Maritozzo

It is a dorayaki that looks like the traditional Italian and Roman confectionery "Maritozzo". The fluffy baked dough is sandwiched between whipped cream and red bean paste.

If you cut it with a knife, you can see that the white whipped cream continues all the way to the back. The bean paste is also firm. When you bite into it, the dough is moist and fluffy with a slightly sweet aroma and taste.

The cream is voluminous, but the mouthfeel is light and easy to eat. The smooth texture goes perfectly with the texture of the bean paste and the flavor of azuki beans.

The atmosphere is different from the so-called "Maritozzo", which has a brioche sandwiched between whipped cream and lemon flavor, but it is a wonderful dessert that has both Japanese and Western characteristics. The calorie of Dorayaki Maritozzo is 264 kcal per piece.
