Breadcrumbs French Toast
Ingredients
1 egg
100 ml milk
1 tablespoon sugar
50g (1.76oz) breadcrumbs
10g (0.35oz) butter
How to make
Combine eggs, milk and sugar in a bowl and mix well with a whisk.
Add the breadcrumbs and mix quickly with a spatula. Make sure all the breadcrumbs are moistened.
Let sit for 1 minute to allow the egg mixture to soak into the breadcrumbs.
Heat the butter in a frying pan and drop the dough into a flat round.
Cook over low heat for 2 to 3 minutes, turning over when browned.
When the other side is browned, it is ready to serve. Place on a plate and drizzle with maple syrup, if desired.
How does it taste?
Fluffy, soft, and melt-in-your-mouth! It's a soggy French toast that you can't find even in specialty stores.
It's moist and soft, but dense and satisfying. Give it a try if you're looking for something a little different from the usual snack!
