Comes in a cute tin and makes a great gift! Here are some "rice honey cookies" I found at KALDI.

Rice Honey Biscuits

These biscuits are made by Hokuriku Seika, a confectionary manufacturer in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and are priced at 1,250 yen (excluding tax) for a pack of 12.

The package was a beautiful red can. Both the cookies and the can have the HOKKA logo (which stands for Hokuriku Seika) on them. The design is simple but sophisticated, reminiscent of Scandinavia.

The sides are also cute.

The cookies are made of "jiro-ame" (soft rice candy in the form of water candy) from Tawaraya, a long-established candy shop in Kanazawa, brown rice sweet sake, and tensai sugar. The result is a mildly sweet taste. No animal-derived ingredients such as eggs or milk are used.

The biscuits have a crunchy, savory texture and a soft, soft texture. It's a simple but delicious cookie that can be called the "ideal cookie. It has a gentle flavor that makes you feel nostalgic.

The size is rather large (about 6.5 x 6.5 cm), and even one piece is satisfying, making it the perfect accompaniment to coffee or tea. They come individually wrapped, so you can savor them slowly!
