The long-selling product "Navona" from the confectionery store "Kameya Mannendo". Is there anyone who comes up with a catch phrase called "Sweet Home Run King"? It is a sweet that has been loved for over 50 years since its release.

"Nabona" was born from the idea of the founder, Sueharu Hikichi, "If you make dorayaki Western-style, it would be delicious." Plenty of cream is sandwiched with soft castella. In addition to the standard cheese cream and pineapple cream, we also have a lineup of seasonal flavors. When I visited in winter, "Uji Matcha Cream" was on sale. The price is 162 yen each.


In addition, there is also a limited edition "Premium Nabona" at the main store in Jiyugaoka, Tokyo. The price is 300 yen per piece. Since it's a big deal, I tried to compare the premium version with the normal "Navona cheese cream".


◆ Nabona cheese cream

Uses original shredded cheese prepared for Nabona. The fluffy and soft castella and the smooth cream go great together. The cheese that is rolled in is a good accent. A mellow taste that is loved by men and women of all ages. It's so light that I'll eat about 5 at a stretch.


◆ Premium Nabona

A cream made with luxurious domestic fresh butter and original cheese is sandwiched with a dough made from locally grown eggs grown only with natural feed. Comparing the sizes, it looks a little smaller than the standard.

The first thing to note is the delicate mouthfeel. The dough is also fluffy with the cream inside! It disappears elegantly without feeling dry at all. However, the taste is rich. Even if swallowed, the umami with butter as the main ingredient remains for a long time.
