What is this tapioca? I actually tried the topic "Coated Juice (Popping Boba)" --I'm addicted to the texture that pops and snaps

I found a food that I was interested in at the miscellaneous goods corner of a certain shop in Harajuku. Granular sweets that are tightly packed in a cup. I decided to actually buy it and try it. The purchase price is 300 yen per cup (excluding tax).

I bought "Coated Juice (Popping Boba)" from Taiwan. There were about 5 flavors, but this time I tried "Strawberry", "Mango", and "Blueberry".

The smooth grains look like tapioca or salmon roe. Juicy fruit juice is stuffed in a coating derived from starch and seaweed.

When I try to chew it, it has a snappy and popping texture! There is a firmer bite than I expected. Thick fruit juice overflows from the inside. A sweet juice like shaved ice syrup spreads in your mouth.

When you chew, you can snap it!

First of all, if you enjoy the texture by eating it as it is, it is recommended to combine the rest with carbonated water or topping it with vanilla ice cream or shaved ice ♪ It seems that it is also popular to combine it with bread and scones. By the way, my recommended flavor was mango ♪

In combination with carbonic acid

You can use it as an ice cream topping.

Mango flavor is recommended

In addition, I found the same product in KALDI at a later date. The selling price was 149 yen. It might be a good idea to give it a try. Why don't you pick it up when you see it?
