This ice cream bar is made with 65% Arita Mikan juice produced in Wakayama Prefecture. It is a two-layer ice cream bar with the characteristic sweetness and juiciness of Arita mandarin oranges.

Background of the launch

FamilyMart has been working to contribute to solving local issues through the creation of delicious and sustainable products under the slogan "with Sustainability! As part of this effort, the private brand "Famimaru" has launched a series of ice cream bars using domestically produced fruit juice. The first series of ice cream bars using Fukushima-grown white peaches, the second series using Hokkaido-grown Yubari melons, and the third series using Okinawa-grown pineapples have all been well received, with cumulative sales of the series topping 2 million servings.

Now, the fourth in the series, "Melting texture Gyutto Mikan" has been introduced. Arita mandarins are also facing the problems of aging producers and a lack of successors, which led to the launch of this new product in order to convey the appeal of Arita mandarins nationwide and boost consumption.
