Chilled Cup Beverage

"Umaicha O-Re" Doutor Coffee's chilled cup beverage "Umaicha O-Re" will be available at convenience stores nationwide for a limited time starting August 8. This product uses tea leaves grown with coffee powder after extraction. The content is 200 ml and the price is 248 yen (tax included).

It will not be sold at Doutor stores.

O-Re

"Umaicha O-Re" is a matcha ore with a luxurious taste made with domestically produced milk and the umami of matcha green tea. The matcha is made from "Yabukita-cha" tea produced in Shizuoka Prefecture, which is designated as a farm that has a good balance of sweetness and astringency.


Coffee grounds that would normally be discarded as waste are fermented and turned into "coffee compost," which is used to grow the tea leaves used to make the matcha. Umaime Matcha au Lait is the first product made from these tea leaves.

The "Umaime Series" also uses paper containers for the chilled cups. This reduces the amount of plastic used by approximately 23 tons per year. In addition, the use of biomass straws, biomass ink, and thinner aluminum lids for some products also contributes to the reduction of plastic and aluminum waste and CO2 emissions.
