Lawson "Rice Flour" Regional Limited Edition Sweets from

LAWSON A new sweet bread featuring "rice flour" produced in Okayama Prefecture is now available from LAWSON. The four varieties, "Funwari Mochikkoppe (Strawberry Jam & Whipped)," "Funwari Mochikkoppe (Tsubuan & Whipped)," "Funwari Mochikkoppe (Muscat & Whipped)," and "Funwari Mochikkoppe (Custard & Whipped)" will be available at 1,571 stores in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions in order of availability.

Funwari Mocchikoppe (

Strawberry

Jam & Whip) "Funwari Mocchikoppe (Strawberry Jam & Whip)" was developed in response to a proposal to use rice flour in bread from the Okayama Prefecture Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, which is promoting the use of rice flour as part of efforts to increase rice consumption in Okayama Prefecture. The dough has an elasticity that gives the bread a sticky texture. Lawson store owners also participated in the selection of flavors, adjustment of the amount of whip, package design, and other aspects of the product.

The price is 140 yen (tax included, same below). The product will go on sale on March 7, 2023.
