Princi Mimosa Torta STAR BUCKS' Princi brand has introduced the Princi Mimosa Torta, a sweet to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8, 2023. Priced at 884 yen (tax included, same below) for To go and 900 yen for eat-in.

Italian Sweets to Celebrate "International Women's Day"

According to Starbucks, in Italy, "International Women's Day" is "Festa della Donna" ("Women's Day"), and it is customary to express gratitude to women. On this day, men hand mimosa flowers, which are said to bring love and happiness to women, to their partners, family members, friends, and colleagues as an expression of their gratitude, and the whole town is covered in the yellow color of mimosa.


The standard dolce popular on this day is the "torta mimosa" (= mimosa cake). The mimosa cake is filled with yellow sponge crumbs on the surface to create the soft and fluffy image of its yellow flowers in bloom.


The Princi Mimosa Torta is made with pistachio cream, fresh strawberries (strawberry), and raspberries, each with its own unique flavor that spreads on the palate. The pistachio cream is made with Italian pistachio paste, which is airy and rich with the aroma of pistachios, yet has a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
