amatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, which is known as one of Japan's three most beautiful man-made forests, and is known for its beautiful scenery and high-quality wood production. The set includes a sleeve and cup made of Tenryu cedar from Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, which is known for its beautiful scenery and high quality wood production.

Starbucks JIMOTO Made Tenryu Cedar Cup with Sleeve 237ml

Ltd., a local lumber company that handles Tenryu cedar and hinoki (Japanese cypress), selects and processes carefully selected Tenryu cedar, and the sleeve is produced by hand at ak-design Kuroda Furniture Studio, a custom furniture manufacturer on the shore of Lake Hamana, Hamamatsu. This sleeve is filled with the passion of Hamamatsu craftsmen. Tenryu cedar, which grows in Hamamatsu's favorable climate, grows straight with few root bends, and is characterized by its beautiful grain with tight annual rings and gentle texture.

Tenryusugi Sleeve is made from naturally dried Tenryusugi cedar trees over 80 years old, which are carefully milled and shaped after a long and slow natural drying process. The shape is inspired by the rough waves of the once wild Tenryu River, which is connected to the roots of Hamamatsu's forestry industry. The 20-square-pillar sleeves are handmade one by one to round off the corners to create a warm impression of the wood and the beautiful expression of the color and grain of the Tenryu cedar.

As the cups are used, the texture and color of the wood will gradually change over time, allowing you to enjoy the wood's unique flavor. The white cups in the set depict the rough waves of the Tenryu River and are studded with icons related to Starbucks and Hamamatsu, such as Starbucks' symbolic coffee, coffee flowers, the city bird Japanese bush warbler, and mandarin orange flowers.

Furthermore, the names of Starbucks, Nagata Lumber (producer), and Hamamatsu (community) are placed on the bottom of the Tenryu cedar sleeve to express the connection with the community.
