The 7th YOIYO series of chocolates to get drunk in Japan

The seventh installment of the "YOIYO" series, based on the concept of chocolate that gets you drunk in Japan, uses "Sakurao GIN LIMITED," a craft gin made at Sakurao Brewery and Distillery's Sakurao Distillery in Hiroshima, Japan.

YOIYO [Sakurao Distillery] GIN LIMITED" will be available at Lotte Group's official online store and some pop-up stores from October 18. The price is 5,940 yen for a gift box of 10 pieces (tax included, shipping included, same below) and 2,700 yen for a gift box of 4 pieces.

There will be a gift box containing 10 packages of 10 pieces and a gift box containing 4 pieces, respectively. There are three different package designs. One gift box may not contain all three designs. Contains 4.2% alcohol.

Collaboration with Sakurao Brewery and Distillery, Hiroshima

According to Lotte, the Sakurao distillery where the craft gin will be made stands on the seaside overlooking the Seto Inland Sea in Hatsukaichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, with the Otorii Gate of Itsukushima Shrine, registered as a World Heritage site, on the opposite shore. The discovery of juniper berries, an essential ingredient for gin, in a forest in the satoyama of Hiroshima Prefecture led to the development of a distillation process that incorporated the traditional English dry gin distillation process. The result is a gin with the delicate aroma of gin.

In order to accentuate the delicate aroma of the gin, the liquor and the concentration of added sugar in the center of the chocolate were carefully considered to soften the alcohol content and convey the full aroma of the gin. When you put it in your mouth, you will feel the tidal and gorgeous aroma of sakurao, and the citrus aftertaste is expressed as if it overlaps with the richness of the chocolate.

Limited TASTING SET [Marus Tsunuki Distillery] Single Malt x [Sakurao Distillery] GIN LIMITED

The "Limited TASTING SET [Marus Tsunuki Distillery] Single Malt x [Sakurao Distillery] GIN LIMITED" will be available at Lotte Group's official online store and some pop-up stores from October 18 in limited quantities. The retail price is 6,300 yen.

Tsunuki Distillery's single malt whiskey and Sakurao Distillery's craft gin

This set includes semi-bitter chocolate with single malt whiskey from the Mars Tsunuki Distillery, which is blended from multiple casks with a peaty flavor, and craft gin from the Sakurao Distillery. The set includes 5 packages of 10 chocolates, each containing 5 pieces of each sake. There are three different package designs. Not all three designs may be included in one gift box. Tsunuki distillery is 4.0% alcohol by volume and Sakurao distillery is 4.2% alcohol by volume.

Sakurao distillery products + YOIYO chocolate

The "YOIYO Distillery Products + YOIYO Chocolates" will be offered as a prize in the "YOIYO [Sakurao Distillery] GIN LIMITED" launch campaign, which will be open for entries from October 18 to November 30, and a total of 10 people will win.

The prize consists of the craft gin "Sakurao GIN LIMITED," a set of 10 "YOIYO [Sakurao Distillery] GIN LIMITED" chocolates, and an original Balloon Glass.

The campaign includes one entry for the purchase of four YOIYO [Sakurao Distillery] GIN LIMITED sets, and two entries for the purchase of 10 YOIYO [Sakurao Distillery] GIN LIMITED sets or the "Limited TASTING SET [Mars Tsunuki Distillery] Single Malt x [Sakurao Distillery] GIN LIMITED", you can apply for 2 units.
