Mike's Popcorn Meister Special Salt Butter Flavor

Mike's Popcorn Meister Special Salt Butter Flavor, the first Mike's brand product to use domestically grown corn, has been produced for about five years with contract farmers, starting with the production of the exclusive corn. We started out not knowing if it would be possible to grow the product in Hokkaido's climate, and the first year the product did not grow well and was not commercialized, but we repeated the verification process every year while monitoring the quality situation, until we finally launched the product this time.

The product was produced under the supervision of popcorn "Meister" Ito, who has over 30 years of development experience and is in charge of the development department, from the production of the corn ingredients. The production process is tailored to domestically produced ingredients to bring out the original taste of the ingredients.

The corn used in this product was jointly developed with contract farmers from the production stage. Furthermore, after verifying heating temperatures and times that match the characteristics of the ingredients, an "air-popping" manufacturing method is used to make the corn pop with hot air, and a manufacturing method that verifies heating temperatures and times that match the characteristics of the exclusive corn is used. Two types of butter are blended to achieve an exquisite buttery flavor while maximizing the dough's aroma and crunchy texture. The balance with the saltiness is also carefully adjusted to create a simple yet deep flavor that lingers in the mouth.

The product displays the RSPO certification mark, which certifies that palm oil is used in the product in consideration of human rights and the environment. This is a first for Japan Frito-Lay.
