The "Mochiricchi Koppe: Salted Vanilla Whip with Akita Milk" was developed by female employees of Lawson after a suggestion from the owner of a Lawson store in Tohoku. The bread dough is made with Akita rice flour and sandwiched with salted vanilla whipped cream made with milk from Akita Prefecture. This is a unique cobbepan in the Tohoku region, where you can enjoy the chewy texture and the sweetness of the cream.

Kokkepepan Series by Prefecture

The prefecture-specific cobbepan series is a series of cobbepan sandwiched between a dough containing rice flour made from rice from each prefecture in the Tohoku region and whipped cream using ingredients from each prefecture. At LAWSON in the Tohoku area, about 20% of the total sales of sweet breads are made with cobbepan-based products, making this area the most popular for cobbepan compared to other areas in Japan. The main purchasers of the products so far have been men in their 40s to 60s, but the new series of products have been developed so that women can also enjoy them.

In the future, cobbepan products using ingredients from Iwate and Aomori prefectures will be released sequentially in the Tohoku area through May of this year.
