Kirin Craft Beer "SPRING VALLEY HOJUN [496]" (Japanese only)

Kirin Beer has introduced a new brand of craft beer, SPRING VALLEY HOJUN [496], which will be available in 350ml (11.83us fl oz) and 500ml (16.91us fl oz) cans at mass retailers nationwide from March 23.

The 350ml (11.83us fl oz) can is priced at 248 yen (excluding tax) and the 500ml (16.91us fl oz) can is priced at 330 yen. The Corona disaster has led to people spending more time at home and spending more money than usual on meals at home, and the product is being developed as a high-value-added canned beer that can be enjoyed in the home.

The beer is said to feature fine, fluffy foam, a mouth-watering barley flavor, and a rich yet clean aftertaste. About 1.5 times as much malt is used as in Kirin Lager Beer, and four varieties of hops are combined. The dip-hop process is used to produce a rich aroma with a low bitterness. Alcohol content 6%. It is made at Kirin Brewery's Yokohama, Toride, and Shiga breweries.

The packaging is a combination of burgundy and gold to emphasize the depth of flavor and the sense of luxury, and to create a sense of royalty and legitimacy as a beer and novelty as a craft beer.
