FamilyMart "Grilled Coho Salmon Makunouchi Bento" Limited to Tohoku and Niigata Prefectures

As a community-based initiative, FamilyMart will release "Grilled Coho Salmon Makunouchi Bento," which uses silver salmon with a strong "enmi" that is popular in the Tohoku region, on December 1st. The price is 540 yen (tax included). Available only at about 1,390 stores in the Tohoku region and Niigata prefecture (excluding some stores).

At FamilyMart, we are making community-based efforts in which store staff working in the area participate in product development. Based on the opinions of store staff working in Fukushima Prefecture, the products to be released this time will be seasoned with salted coho salmon (enmi) and side dishes boiled in cut kelp in order to bring them closer to the “home taste”. We were particular about it and improved it.

"Grilled Coho Salmon Makunouchi Bento" uses silver salmon fillets that are about twice the size (about 60g (2.12oz)) of FamilyMart's "Makunouchi Bento". Coho salmon with a strong salty taste is savoryly roasted in the oven to suit the tastes of the Tohoku region. The side dish is simmered cut kelp, which is sweetly seasoned with reference to the taste of homes in the Tohoku region.
