I found these delicious "Salted Batakaman" sandwich cookies at KALDI's! It has a flavorful, adult-like taste.

Salted Batakaman

A salted butter flavored cookie sandwiched between mild Camembert cheese cream. French Lorraine salt is used. 12 pieces were priced at 198 yen (tax included).


The thick cookies are layered on top of each other to form a rounded, colon-like shape.


The texture is light and crisp. The first moment is simply savory, but as you bite into it, the flavor of butter and Camembert cheese spreads out. The texture is smooth. This is so good! The strong saltiness enhances the flavors of the butter and Camembert cheese.



Flavorful but not too sweet, the overall impression is mellow. It seems to go better with tea than coffee. It would also be a good snack with wine.


Personally, they are a hit among the snacks I have acquired and eaten at KALDI's so far. If you see them, I highly suggest you pick some up!
