A crispy cookie finished with coconut powder without using flour. Introducing the "coconut bite" found in KALDI. Highly recommended for coconut lovers!
Coconut bite
A cookie baked by mixing chia seeds with coconut powder and sugar dough. The country of origin is Taiwan. The price is 322 yen (tax included) with 80g (2.82oz).It looks like a thick coin-shaped cookie, but when you try it, it's completely different from the flour cookie! I think there is a coconut sprinkled cookie, but only the upper part is this. You can enjoy the crispy, delicate texture and unique sweet scent from the beginning to the end.
It's so delicate that it crumbles just by crushing it with your tongue, but it's fresh that it doesn't melt like a wheat cookie. The sweetness is modest and the aftertaste is somewhat cool. Chia seeds are crispy and accentuated, but there is no claim in terms of taste.
Coconut-flavored sweets are often too sweet or have an artificial scent, but this one is natural and has a coconut feel! This is a dish that you should definitely try if you like it.
