The editorial department visited on weekdays (and it was raining), but it was full of haste immediately after the opening at 11:30. Since I was alone, I managed to slip in without lining up at the shared table.

There are 6 types of curry rice such as beef, pork and scallops. There is also hayashi rice. This time I chose chicken curry (660 yen). Rice is usually served in large quantities, so order a small amount (30 yen discount).


What was brought in was the curry roux, which was soaked in the gravy boat, and the amount of rice that did not seem to be small. The raisins are a little topping. And lettuce, cucumber and tomato salad. It has a refreshing sour dressing.



Sprinkle roux on rice and take a bite. Wait a minute, this curry looks like normal curry rice, but it's really delicious ...!?


With a mellow mouthfeel, I feel sweetness for a moment, but soon the spiciness of spices rushes in. If you continue to eat, your tongue will feel numb and it will be so hot that you want water. It has a deep flavor and richness, like meat, vegetables, and various other things. The taste that makes an impression that "I want to eat again" even though I am not aiming for fashion or getting strange. Let's call it the highest peak of home-style curry rice.


The chicken is loosened and the fibers are loosened, and it is fully contained in the roux. Three raisins on top of the rice neutralize the spicy mouth with a refreshing sweetness when chewed. I'm doing a good job.


Roux and rice are so generously served and it costs 630 yen including tax, so I was surprised again when I made the payment. Is it profitable? The overwhelmingly high cost performance is so high that the shop side is worried. By the way, the most expensive curry is scallops, which usually costs 960 yen. It doesn't cost 1,000 yen for lunch in Kamakura ...
