Oh cute

Did you know that you can buy "Kaiun Peko-chan Yaki" only at the Fujiya pastry shop in Kamakura? The price is 150 yen (tax included) per piece. There are three flavors, "Koshian", "Matcha", and "Cinnamon scented apple custard" (at the time of writing the article).

Peko-chan-yaki is a ningyo-yaki in the shape of Peko-chan in the shape of "Seven Lucky Gods". Originally sold at the Iidabashi Kagurazaka store, it has since been sold at the Kamakura store as well. By the way, the Peko-chan ware at the Iidabashi Kagurazaka store has only a "face", which is a little different from the Kamakura store, which has a whole body shape.

Come out

First of all, the classic red bean paste. The fluffy and moist dough is fragrant and slightly sweet, and the smooth taste of the bean paste is the deliciousness of the royal road.

Matcha is so delicious that the matcha sauce inside is insanely delicious! It has a deep aroma and a bitter taste, but you can also feel the umami, and it has a full-fledged matcha taste. I liked it the most of the three.

And a custard with a mix of Japanese and Western styles. The crispy apple texture and fresh sweetness mix with the mellow custard cream and are the best! The apples are diced and contain a lot of lumps, so they are delicious to eat.

● It is more delicious when warmed

If you take it home and eat it, you can enjoy it more deliciously by reheating it. The recommended way to eat it is to heat it in the microwave (500W) for about 20 seconds or bake it in the toaster (1200W) for 1 to 2 minutes.

I especially want you to try the toaster! The inside is fluffy and the cream is smooth and smooth. Even if you heat it in the microwave, it looks like it's freshly baked and it's delicious, but I personally like the crispy texture when toasted and the slightly burnt aroma.

It's limited to stores, and it's a lucky god, so it's also recommended as a Kamakura souvenir for your family and friends!
