KALDI "Charcoal Water

I found "Charcoal Water" (278 yen including tax) at KALDI. The literal translation of the name is "charcoal water. It is a water containing "activated charcoal," which is said to be attracting the attention of beauty-conscious foreign celebrities.

When sold, the water is clear and colorless, but when you try to drink it, it turns black...!

The PET bottle contains mineral water made from natural water from Chokai Mountain in Yamagata Prefecture. And inside the cap is a powder made from bamboo charcoal and coconut shell activated charcoal.


When this cap is turned, the set charcoal powder falls into the mineral water and turns it black.

What does charcoal water taste like?

Water with charcoal powder dissolved in it, it looks completely black ink, but what does it taste like? Shake it lightly and drink it...


Hmmm! Mellow! Much easier to drink and softer than I expected! There is no charcoal-like taste or aroma at all. There is a slight powdery taste, but if you close your eyes and drink it without knowing anything about it, you will feel comfortable enough to think it is normal water.
