I ate "Natsukoshi rice and steamed chicken salad set meal" at Yayoiken. Kakiage fluffy, moist radish and grated ginger are placed on millet rice and served with cold tentsuyu. Although it is fried, it has a refreshing taste and is suitable for the season when it seems to be hot in the summer.
The price is 890 yen (tax included). You can also choose a large serving of millet rice (16-grain rice), but this time we will leave it as normal. When you operate the ticket vending machine to purchase a meal ticket, show it to the shop staff, and wait at your seat, a set meal will appear on the tray. There are many dishes and it is gorgeous to see.
Millet rice and kakiage are served separately, so you can complete the Natsukoshi rice yourself. First, put hot kakiage on millet rice and decorate it with grated radish and ginger. You can squeeze the attached lemon if you like. Finally, just turn the cool Tentsuyu and you're done. Surprisingly no hassle.
Kakiage has a fluffy texture right after it is cooked. However, when you put your teeth on it, it makes a crispy sound in your mouth, and you can enjoy the different hardness and flavor of okra, carrots, onions, and corn, which were also colorful in your clothes. Corn has a particularly clear personality. It has a nice bubble wrap texture and sweetness.
The garnish salad is full of steamed chicken made from breast meat, and is almost a meat dish. However, there are cabbage, lettuce, cucumber, purple onion, mizuna and colorful raw vegetables underneath.
The orange dressing contains grated carrots. The amount is large, but the saltiness is not strong and it has a refreshing acidity.
Thanks to the exquisite seasoning of the dressing, the steamed chicken salad is not a side dish of rice, but it is recommended to eat deliciously with just the salad. There is no problem in tasting each with Natsukoshi rice separately.
Even on days when you feel like you've lost your appetite, you can get vegetables, meat, and grains all at once, and it's a menu that you don't feel too hungry.
