Choco mint biscuit "MenBis
Did you know that Kitami Hakka, well-known for its "Hakka Oil", sells chocolate mint biscuits called "MenBis"? They are so delicious! I'd recommend them to anyone who doesn't like the strong minty flavor from the flavoring!Membis is a chocolate sandwich on a langdosha cookie made from 100% Hokkaido wheat. There are two types in each box: "Sweet Mint," made of plain dough with bittersweet semi-sweet chocolate sandwiched in between, and "Green Mint," made of cocoa dough with green chocolate sandwiched in between with white chocolate, each assortment contains 6 pieces.
And both are flavored with natural menthol from our own farm and Japanese seed oil.
The Sweet Mint is a crispy langdosha cookie with mint-flavored chocolate that is light and easy on the palate. The bittersweet, mildly sweet chocolate and the fresh mint flavor are a perfect balance!
The green mint, on the other hand, is a perfect match between the bittersweet langdosha cookie and the refreshing coolness of the white mint chocolate. The mintiness is slightly stronger than the sweet mint, and the cookie glides through the mouth more smoothly and lightly.
If you are outside of Hokkaido, you may be able to get them at Hokkaido product fairs (if they have a stall) as well as through official mail order! If you are interested, please check the Kitami Hakka website.
