Usagiya's "Rabbit Manju"
Rabbit!

Easter coming soon. There are also festival-related foods such as Easter eggs and Easter bunny, but since it's a big deal, why not take this opportunity to enjoy Japanese sweets in the shape of a rabbit? "Rabbit Manju" from "Rabbitya" in Asagaya, Tokyo is a cute and tasty gem.

Usagiya has a cute name. There are shops with the same name in Ueno and Nihonbashi, and dorayaki is popular, but the product lineup and taste are different. This time, I chose a rabbit bun for Easter at Asagaya Rabbit. The price is 160 yen (excluding tax, the same applies below).

It is a thin-skinned steamed bun, and the contents are buns.

The pure white skin is a soft and fluffy dough with the addition of buns and yams. Small eyes and ears are drawn. The contents are full of bean paste.

When I grab it, the skin is moderately moist, but it is just light. Koshigyo has an elegant sweetness and is very easy to eat. In addition to hot Japanese tea, it seems to go well with coffee.

The rabbit bun was very delicious, but since Dorayaki is a popular restaurant, I would like to try it as well. I bought only one together. The price is 190 yen.

After all, I bought Dorayaki too

Asagaya's rabbits and dorayaki are fashionably wrapped in a simple yet cute rabbit design. This is also an Easter-friendly confectionery.

Large format that is heavy and heavy to hold. The skin is moist and soft, and has a hot texture. There is a surprising amount of bean paste inside, and the beans are all around. When you bite into it, the scent of adzuki beans fills your nasal passages. It's generous and you can cut it with a knife and share it with your family and friends. It was really good.

There is also a coffee shop in Asagaya's Usagiya, which you can use during business hours, so you can enjoy it slowly. It gets crowded in the morning, but it seems that the number of customers will be a little slower from the afternoon when the dorayaki is sold out.
