Sandwich Parlor Matsumura "Chikuwa Dog"
A variety of unique side dish breads!

"Sandwich Parlor Matsumura", which has its main store in Ningyocho, is a long-established bakery founded in 1918 (!). It is called "Matsumura Bread" by neighbors and people working in the neighborhood.

As expected, there is only a "sandwich parlor", and there are various types of sandwiches and side dish bread full of originality. This time, I ate what I thought was unique!

● Chikuwa dog (165 yen)

One chikuwa cut in half vertically, a dish that sticks out of the bread. Tuna mayo was laid under the chikuwa.

I wonder what this nostalgic taste is ...! Doesn't chikuwa and tuna mayo both tickle your childhood? I was surprised at how well the chikuwa and fluffy bread go together!

Simple but insanely delicious

● Tofu Menchi (175 yen)

Bread with tofu cutlet embedded in it. I'm glad that there are finely chopped vegetables such as carrots inside!

The tofu cutlet batter is crispy, the inside is soft and elastic, and it is very juicy to chew! The slightly spicy seasoning was also an appetizing side dish bread, and it was surprisingly delicious.

Because it's tofu, is it a little healthy?

● Croissant cake (200 yen)

A sweet bread baked by wrapping a cake (castella) in croissant dough. There are "germ" and "chocolate" flavors, and this time we selected chocolate.

The croissant is crispy and the cake inside is moist. You can eat croissants and chocolate cake at the same time, so you can feel euphoria! It is recommended to heat it lightly with a toaster because it will rejuvenate the freshness and double the fragrance and taste of each.

By the way, this is a 1/8 cut, and the hole size is also sold (1,600 yen). Make sure to have a hall for gifts.

● Homemade pudding (105 yen)

At the end, it's not bread, but since there is a rule that "homemade pudding from a locally loved shop has no loss", I added it gently for dessert.

The top surface is "plumply purulun" and the spoon bounces off, this is homemade! Elastic strength. The inside is soft and fluffy, but overall it is a little hard and has a chewy finish.

The slightly bitter and fragrant caramel sauce enhances the rich taste of egg pudding. I also like that it's not too sweet!

Of course, there are many standard breads such as cream buns that have been on sale since the company was founded and the “royal road” croquette rolls of side dish bread, but I would like you to pick up a unique bread that you can't find anywhere else in Matsumura bread. I think.

There is an eat-in area in the back of the shop that can also be used as a coffee shop, so you can eat the bread you bought on the spot. Why don't you stop by for a break while exploring the Nihonbashi / Ningyocho area?
