Asahi Seika "Asahi Karinto"

Nishitokyo's specialty "Asahi no Karinto". Various flavors of karinto are available, with particular attention to raw materials and manufacturing methods.

The author learned about the existence of this karinto after being told by a friend from West Tokyo. I ate some flavors and they were all insanely delicious! Maybe it's the first time I've been so impressed with Karinto.

Sesame University

A product that won the "Honorary Governor's Award" at the National Confectionery Expo. It is sprinkled with plenty of black sesame seeds. The price is 153 yen (purchase price excluding tax at Hibarigaoka North Exit store, the same applies below).

Eating size

The finish is thinner than the image of Karinto. But this fineness is the best to eat with polypoly. It's a little extravagant and you can eat a few bottles in one bite.

Light texture

The sweetness is modest, and the saltiness is rather stronger. The rich flavor of black sesame spreads in your mouth. Of course, it goes well with beer for tea.

Momo Karinto

Karinto using fresh milk. Nico Nico cow is on the package. The price is 264 yen.

Recommendation

Does milk go well with karinto? I was wondering, but this is insanely delicious! !! The taste is more mellow than general karinto. You can feel the milky richness in the sweetness. What remains in my mouth is the aroma of sesame. The faint saltiness of white soy sauce invites you to the next one.

Cookie karinto

As the name suggests, it has a cookie-like texture. Received the "Honorary Governor's Award" at the National Confectionery Expo. The flavor also had "brown sugar flavor", but this time I bought "salt butter flavor". The price is 255 yen.

Western-style karinto

The outside is crispy like karinto, and the inside is crispy like a cookie. The more you chew, the richer the flavor of wheat, the richness of margarine, and the saltiness spread. Each one is thick and has a rich taste, so it is very satisfying to eat. It looks good with coffee or tea.

Bamboo charcoal karinto

Karinto is made by kneading bamboo charcoal into domestic wheat flour and finishing it with a rough texture. The black visual is eye-catching. The price is 306 yen.

For a moment I thought it was real charcoal

I thought it would taste dark, but it had a mild flavor despite its appearance. The moderate sweetness of the grain makes it addictive. The hard and crunchy texture is also ◎. After eating, your lips and teeth turn black! Rest assured that nothing will happen.
