I (the author) have a store that I've always wanted to visit. "Coffee Mountain" in Nagoya. This coffee shop is famous for its "strange food" menu, including "sweet spas" such as the green matcha Ogura spa and the pink strawberry spa.

When I finally got the chance to go to Nagoya, I went to the mountain to try a sweet spa! As a result, I was knocked out by "Namazu Spa" and "Dry Shaved Ice" ... Sweet spa, where did it disappear !?

Café Mountain is marked by a large mountain sign. The store is like a log house.

Now, if you look at the menu ... It is written tightly on the front and back of A3 size paper. That variation is already mountain. On one side are desserts, drinks and light meals, which are mostly shaved ice. The other side is a pilaf and spaghetti-based meal menu.

Wow
Wow

If you look at the spaghetti page, there are so many kinds! 77 types of spaghetti alone are listed. In addition to the sweet spa, there are a lot of "what's this" menus such as "yoga spa", "cosmo spa", "young spa", and "red dress (super spicy)". Oh, far from the sweet spa, there are a lot of things I'm curious about!

Among them, "Namazu Spa" caught my heart. What is a catfish? Kinki University talked about "developing eel-flavored catfish", that catfish? I ordered "Catfish Stew Spa (Dry)" because I was surprised at the menu that I had never seen at restaurants.

The first thing that was brought in was a deep plate, disposable chopsticks, and a ladle. I ordered soup spaghetti, but will the pot come?

No no no…
No no no…

Yes, the pot has arrived . The red soup is simmering in a clay pot that is about the same diameter as a clay pot for one person but is likely to be twice as deep. It's different from the soup spa I know. It's like stewed udon noodles.

Really?
Really?

Isn't it deep?

Not only is the pot big, but the overflowing contents are also very voluminous. First of all, the noodles are very thick. This is the thickest pasta since I ate it in Sicilian Italian before. Other ingredients are onions, eggplants, carrots, cabbage, tomatoes, and white fish-like meat. This is probably a catfish.

When you sip the soup, the stimulus is just right. It's as hot as eating Korean hot pot. At first, it's nothing, but as I eat, sweat slowly oozes out. And the catfish was a light white fish that was not particularly muddy. Well, it is undeniable that the catfish's presence has diminished due to the impact on the volume.

However, this does not decrease even if you eat it. Is it because the noodles are thick or because the amount is large in the first place? In addition, plenty of vegetables sank at the bottom of the soup, making it a dish that was too satisfying to eat.

Now, let's eat hot food and sweat, and eat cold food for dessert. I chose "Mango Special (Dry)" from the shaved ice. Mango but dry? No, in the first place, dry shaved ice ...

What was carried was a huge shaved ice that was as high as my eyes (estimated 40 cm!). huge. It's really big. When I ordered, I was asked "Is it big but is it okay?" And answered "Yes!", But this size is unexpected. It's a mountain.

This was unexpected, I'm sorry

The essential "dry" identity was the red powder, which seems to be Shichimi, sprinkled on the mango syrup. Surprisingly, it goes well with the sweetness of the syrup. Is it a feeling like "watermelon and salt"? I feel that Shichimi plays a role of not getting bored while enhancing the sweetness. But over time, the mango sauce looks like curry powder for some reason. Strange.

The syrup seems to be spread not only on the surface but also on the underlying ice. Moreover, there is more vanilla ice cream on the bottom! It saved me when I was about to be discouraged by the single taste. In other words, delicious shaved ice until the end. I would go if it was offered nearby (in normal size). I've never eaten such shaved ice.

In the end, it was about two-thirds alone, which was the limit. I'm sorry for the clerk. However, flattening spaghetti alone and eating this much shaved ice may be overkill for me. Just a little remorse.

I was ashamed to know later that Mountain was a famous store even if it was large. By the way, all the menus ordered by other customers were mountainous. In the first place, eating two dishes alone seems to have been quite a challenge.

Mountain, a specialty cafe in Nagoya. It will surely be a strong and memorable one in you. It was also firmly engraved on my "Revisited Shops" list. "You should go with more than one."
