Tottori Prefecture is the only prefecture in Japan that did not have a coffee chain "Starbucks Coffee". Starbucks is finally coming to such a "blank prefecture". It was announced that "Starbucks Coffee Shamine Tottori Store" will open as the first Tottori store on May 23.

"There is no Starbucks, but there is the best" Sunaba (sand field) "in Japan," said Tottori Prefecture Governor Hirai. However, last summer, it was reported that it would finally open a store in Tottori prefecture, and it became a hot topic.

The Shamine Tottori store, which will open this time, is located on the south side of the station. Needless to say, it is convenient because it is near the station, and there is also a drive-through. It seems that it can be used in various scenes.

And don't miss the tumbler "Tottori Tumbler" (1,330 yen) and the mug "Tottori Mug" (1,140 yen), which are sold in limited quantities to commemorate the opening. It is said that Matsuba has designed seven icons that symbolize Tottori prefecture, such as the 20th century pear, camel, and the prefecture bird "Oshidori".

In addition, a commemorative event will be held prior to the opening. You can enjoy live music and coffee tasting on the premises of the store. The event will be held from 12:00 to 16:00 on May 9th. Participation is free.

By the way, on the north side of the station, there is a coffee shop with delicious tuna cutlet sandwich called "Sunaba Coffee", which opened just one year ago because of the governor's quote. "Starbucks to the south, Sunaba to the north". For the time being, you may not have to worry about becoming a coffee refugee in front of Tottori Station.

Today (April 22nd), the "Hirosaki Koenmae store" in Aomori prefecture, which opened as the first store in the city, seems to have lined up early in the morning, even though it was the fifth store in the prefecture. How many people will line up at Tottori's first Starbucks?

The store is located at 112-13 Higashihonjicho, Tottori City, Tottori Prefecture, and is open from 7:00 to 23:00.
