Tarteen Bakery & Cafe is a bakery that opened in the mission area of San Francisco in 2002. It has been selected as one of the "best bakeries" in the United States, and it is a popular shop with a continuous line of people every day.

Owner chef Chad Robertson studied at the Culinary Institute of America, also known as "Harvard University in the food service industry," for three years and studied in France. He learned how to make bread using the "old-fashioned method" of organic flour ground with a stone mill, natural water from the mountains, and baking in a wood-fired oven.


The bread sold at the store is baked by hand, gently and quickly, paying attention to the freshness of wheat, because we want to make "healthy bread" that is easy to digest and take in nutrients. As a result, high hydration and long-term natural fermentation can be ensured.


At the Daikanyama store that will open this time, "Country Bread" and "Croissant", which are the main products in the home country, will be on sale. It is said that the original yeast will be produced in Japan and products that match the climate and climate of Japan will be developed.


In addition, the store will also offer Blue Bottle Coffee, which has become a hot topic since it landed in Japan in February.
