A series that introduces the "secret masterpiece" behind the specialty. Forty-five items are Yoku Moku's "Cigale Ice".
Yoku Moku is a confectionery maker founded in 1969. Mainly open stores in department stores. A long-selling cookie from the time of its establishment, the cookie "Cigale", which is a thin dough wrapped like a cigar, is familiar.
"Cigale ice cream" is made by filling the cylinder of this cigar with ice cream. Sold at some stores and online shops. There are two flavors, vanilla and chocolate, and the price starts from 1,080 yen (tax included) for 5 bottles each.
This time, I bought 5 vanilla bottles at the main store of Tokyu Department Store in Shibuya.
* You can check the list of stores on the Yoku Moku official website.
A size slightly larger than the familiar Cigar. The dough is thick and the baking color is modest. Both ends of the cylinder are covered with white chocolate to prevent the ice cream inside from melting.
The luxury of melting cold ice cream from the refreshingly fragrant cigar. Along with the moist and delicate mouthfeel, the mellow butter flavor and the sweet scent of vanilla spread throughout the mouth.
White chocolate is not only on both ends, but also between the ice cream and the dough. The crispy texture and the milky taste that gradually melts out make it an overall accent.
The leading role is Cigar. It is a dish that you can enjoy the harmony with ice cream and chocolate that are combined in an exquisite balance.
