"Rice field art" is an attempt to draw a huge picture using rice with different colors, using the rice field as a canvas. Since 1993, Inakadate Village in Minamitsugaru District, Aomori Prefecture has been working as part of the village revitalization.

This year's theme of rice paddy art is "Oiran and Hollywood Star" and "Ultraman". "Oiran and Hollywood Star" can be viewed from June 3 to October 14 at Inakadate Village Observatory, and "Ultraman" can be viewed from June 15 to October 14 at Yayoinosato Observatory. Both observatories are open from 9 am to 5 pm (last admission is until 4:30 pm).

If you can't go to the site, you can enjoy rice paddy art with photos and live camera images. The service "I Love Aomori Marugoto View" by NTT East Aomori Branch is broadcasting live with a live camera of "Oiran and Hollywood Star".
