Designer Marshall Jamshidi, who lives in Connecticut, USA, devised "Periodic TableWare, " a tableware that looks like a glassware for chemical experiments to promote chemical changes in the bar. Currently, Kickstarter is looking for investors.
Periodic TableWare consists of beaker-like wine glasses and whiskey glasses, flask-like decanters and cocktail shakers, and matini glasses. Jamshidi explains that there are two benefits to turning glassware for chemical experiments into tableware.
The first is the high functionality of glass products for chemical experiments. Both flasks and beakers may be used in the handling of dangerous chemicals. In preparation for such a case, the shape is such that chemicals do not easily spill on the table. Applying that shape to decanters and glasses should reduce the chances of spilling wine or whiskey.
The second is the splendor of the design itself. Glassware for chemical experiments is something that everyone has seen at least once in school classes. It's nostalgic just by looking at it, and it should be easy for people to have a conversation with their neighbors and to have a "chemical reaction" between people.
Periodic TableWare will also be compatible with dishwashers. If it succeeds in raising funds, it is scheduled to go on sale around October this year.
