Three recipes for arranging delicious convenience store rice balls: "Authentic Tomato Risotto," "Excellent Onigiri Pizza," and "Just-in-Case Zosui (Rice Porridge).

Easy & Delicious!

Onigiri can be called Japan's soul food. A wide variety of onigiri products are sold at convenience stores, ranging from those with standard ingredients such as salmon and pickled plums to unique ones.

Following the recipe using 7-ELEVEN's bread introduced the other day, we have selected three recipes using onigiri. We actually made them and tried them. I can heartily recommend all of them, as they are "so good you'll shiver.

Authentic Tomato Risotto with Fluffy Egg Omelette Rice

I used "Fluffy egg omelette rice". By adding a little extra effort, you can make "authentic risotto" as if you were eating it at a restaurant.

Fluffy egg omelette omelette rice" which is delicious eaten as it is.

The other ingredients are baby leaves, mixed vegetables, granulated consommé, and melted cheese. First, separate the rice ball into egg and rice, and put the rice portion, granulated consommé ingredients, mixed vegetables, and water in a pot.

Baby leaves are OK without.

boom

Heat slowly over low heat. Be careful not to overcook or turn the heat too high or it will burn. When the water comes to a boil, remove to a plate and top with cheese, the reserved egg, and a little baby leaf.

Warm it up while stirring gently.

Cover with melted cheese.

Plus leftover eggs and baby leaves!

You'll be amazed at the quality of this dish, so high that you won't believe it was made from a convenience store rice ball! You can enjoy the best seasoned tomato risotto because the rice is originally soaked in ketchup with a rich and slightly sour taste. The cheese that melts in the heat of the risotto is also fantastic! This recipe is recommended for evening meals.

Yummmmmm...

Excellent Onigiri Pizza

Prepare one onigiri of your choice, ham, melted cheese, and other toppings of your choice. First, take the onigiri out of the bag and peel off the nori. Place the rice ball with the nori removed on a piece of plastic wrap and press it tightly with your hand to make it thin and shape it into a ball.

Everything is available at the convenience store.

Squeeze, squeeze!

Warm in a microwave oven at 500W for a few minutes. If you are worried about the cheese, you may want to cover it with plastic wrap before heating.

snugly (into hole, container, etc.)

A little bit.

Be careful not to burn yourself!

Completed~!

Tastes far better than I ever could have imagined! It is white rice, and goes perfectly with all kinds of ingredients. The taste can be easily understood if you imagine western-style fried rice. It was so delicious that I tried it at home, and I recommend using mayonnaise-based ingredients such as tuna mayo or shrimp mayo for the onigiri. Also, if you cover the rice with aluminum foil and bake it in a toaster, the surface of the rice will become crispy and the pizza-like texture will be enhanced!

insanely delicious

Pizza made with tuna mayo

Just kidding!

Lastly, we introduce the easiest "just kidding zosui" (rice porridge). Prepare onigiri rice balls and instant soup of your choice, and drop the rice in a bowl with the nori peeled off. Then, just pour the instant soup on top and pour in hot water! Tear the remaining nori lightly and use it as a topping.

The author selected ume rice balls.

Pour hot water here.

Quick, inexpensive, and delicious! Most people use ochazuke stock or other ingredients, but it also goes well with Chinese soup. I also recommend 7-ELEVEN's "Kaki Tamago Soup with Japanese Dashi" which I used this time!
