Lawson Store 100 will release "100 Yen Yakiimo" baked at the store on September 16th. The price is 108 yen (tax included) per bottle. The cumulative number of units sold at all stores last year exceeded 2.1 million, which means that on average, more than 10,000 units were sold a day.

At Lawson Store 100, every fall, we start selling "Yakiimo" baked at the store. Grilled potatoes, which are rich in dietary fiber and vitamins, are popular with young women, children, housewives, and seniors.

The cumulative number of sales last year (from September 2020 to the end of February 2021) was 210 due to the recent boom in "yakiimo" such as an increase in specialty stores and the growing demand for light meals and snacks to be eaten at home in Corona. Over 10,000 bottles, on average, sold over 10,000 bottles a day (total for all 100 Lawson stores).

Lawson Store 100's "Yakiimo" has been offered for 100 yen per bottle by establishing a route to secure a large amount of high-quality domestic sweet potatoes from contract farmers nationwide, and "Yakiimo" has been available for more than 10 years. It is carefully baked with the "Yakiimo" furniture installed next to the cash register in the store. The fixtures for "Yakiimo" have a two-stage structure, and the "Yakiimo" baked by condensing the sweetness in the lower far-infrared oven is transferred to the upper heat-retaining case and sold to make the hot "Yakiimo".
